KUKUU is the ‘third child’ of architect Aija Priede-Sietina and designer Daneks Sietins who also happen to be the parents of two lovely daughters, Lotte and Sophie.
After becoming parents, Aija and Daneks realised there was a need for well designed, eco-friendly, sustainable furniture that encouraged a child’s imagination and creativity while also nurturing their personalities. Aija and Daneks watched their daughters at play and studied how they interacted with their surroundings as well as each other. After taking everything they had seen into account, KUKUU came to be.
The gorgeous Bird & Berry range is easily identifiable by the bird and the stylised branch with berries. The range is elegant and functional and we love the sloping lines and beautiful colour choices and design. As baby grows, this range grows with them… the cot transforms into a junior bed and the change table becomes a chest of drawers. Perfect.
