KUKUU is the ‘third child’ of architect Aija Priede-Sietina and designer Daneks Sietins who also happen to be the parents of two lovely daughters, Lotte and Sophie.
After becoming parents, Aija and Daneks realised there was a need for well designed, eco-friendly, sustainable furniture that encouraged a child’s imagination and creativity while also nurturing their personalities. Aija and Daneks watched their daughters at play and studied how they interacted with their surroundings as well as each other. After taking everything they had seen into account, KUKUU came to be.
The gorgeous Bird & Berry range is easily identifiable by the bird and the stylised branch with berries. The range is elegant and functional and we love the sloping lines and beautiful colour choices and design. As baby grows, this range grows with them… the cot transforms into a junior bed and the change table becomes a chest of drawers. Perfect.

Today we are very excited about featuring The Family Love Tree.
Melbourne based designer and mum, Katie Graham, is the owner and creative mind behind this beautiful brand. To use Katie’s words “The Family Love Tree collection is all about throwing the windows open, letting in some bright whimsical joy and feeling the love, life and colour that can grow in your house”. We could not have said it better ourselves!
Katie’s beautiful, vibrant and unique range consists of fabrics, screens, tables and pot holders but we just could not go past the delightful Peacock Chairs and Peacock Bed Heads.
This rattan furniture will not only look amazing, it will be a favourite place for children to sit, rest and relax. Available in fabulous colours such as fuchsia, mint and aqua, these pieces will certainly make an impact.

Wandering through the Kids Instyle trade show recently, a little orange fox instantly caught my eye. He was sitting on a shelf as part of a beautiful collection of hand crocheted toys by La De Dah Kids. Upon closer inspection, I oohed and aahed over the whole range of gorgeousness on display. There were rattles, homewares and soft toys that would delight any adult, let alone child.
Rebecca, the owner of La De Dah Kids, was on hand to give some insight into her store. I discovered that Rebecca combined her background in Fashion Technology with her love of the fun and unusual to source her adorable range of 100% cotton products. She hopes to ignite the imaginations of children everywhere with her lovable characters and provide toys that become an integral part of many wonderful childhood memories.
We certainly think she’s succeeded!
