La De Dah Kids – Handcrafted toys and homewares

Wandering through the Kids Instyle trade show recently, a little orange fox instantly caught my eye. He was sitting on a shelf as part of a beautiful collection of hand crocheted toys by La De Dah Kids. Upon closer inspection, I oohed and aahed over the whole range of gorgeousness on display. There were rattles, homewares and soft toys that would delight any adult, let alone child.

Rebecca, the owner of La De Dah Kids, was on hand to give some insight into her store. I discovered that Rebecca combined her background in Fashion Technology with her love of the fun and unusual to source her adorable range of 100% cotton products. She hopes to ignite the imaginations of children everywhere with her lovable characters and provide toys that become an integral part of many wonderful childhood memories.

We certainly think she’s succeeded!

The full range of handcrafted toys and homewares is available from the La De Dah Kids website and various stockists across Australia.

Little Chillies launches their Autumn/Winter Collection 2012

During my recent visit to Kids Instyle Sydney, I marvelled at the exceptional talent on display and the remarkable creations for little ones. One of the ranges that really stood out for me belonged to the gorgeous Melbourne label, Little Chillies.

It is easy to see that designer Joanne and her lovely family are very passionate about their family business. Influenced by vintage styling and French fabrics, Little Chillies draws inspiration from timeless designs and then adds their own uniquely beautiful style. The quality and detailing on each piece is truly exceptional and the fabrics used (such as wool cashmere blends, wool alpaca blends, silk, cotton and linen) are divine. Comfortable and stylish, this range is suitable for newborns through to age six and can be worn everyday or for a special occasion.

The stand-outs for me? Although difficult to decide, I would have to say that my favourite item is the grey hooded coat (pictured above) followed closely by the red and grey floral dress (also pictured above). Having said that, I would happily buy every piece!

The Little Chillies Autumn/Winter range will be available for purchase at the end of March from Purely 4 Kids and other stockists throughout Australia and New Zealand.
